Product Reviews for ART Pro VLA Compressor (Model 212) Feature: Good features - Would be nice if you could link the gain controls... I like the fact that you can adjust them independently while in liked mode though... Quality: Suprisingly good quality. More than impressive. Faceplate could be more durable for road use, but great for studio and light portable use. Value: Can't get much more bang for the buck than this. It definately has "a sound" if this is "the sound" you're looking for, it's well worth twice the price. Desirability: I actually feel more attractive and intelligent for purchasing this unit. Sound: Reminds me of an 1176... Nice "color" and unique tone. Adds a bit of hair on the highs but not too much. Worked well on pretty much everything I tried it on. Support: I'll have to give them a 10 because they haven't had a chance to piss me off... Yet... Overall: This unit has the unusual status of residing in both my "every day" first-thing-I-grab-for list AND my "secret weapon" list. Again, it's not for everything, but I haven't found much I wouldn't feel comfortable using it with.
