Product Reviews for Audio Technica ATM10a Artist Series Fixed-Charge Condenser Microphone

Feature:
Very versatile in applications. Can be used for solo or group vocals, acoustic guitar, piano, strings, just about anything you can think of. Can run off a battery OR phantom power.

Quality:
Feels solid enough that I've been tempted to try throwing it against the wall. But it's not mine, so I won't take any chances.

Value:
Versatile, sensitive, solid, warm and clear, what more could you ask for?

Desirability:
I want it, but it's just a practical addition.

Sound:
The sound from this mic is simply amazing! I used it for recording a simple vocals and acoustic guitar song, and it performed equally well when recording both the guitar and my voice at the same time, and also just my voice on a harmony. It provides a direct and clear, yet warm sound in a much less-than-ideal acoustic environment (my room). I have also used this as a vocal mic in live band performances and had excellent sound quality yet, surprisingly, no feedback problems at all. Care must be taken when recording to keep the surroundings as quiet as possible, as this is an EXTREMELY sensitive mic.

Support:
Haven't had any problems with it, so no experience there.
