Product Reviews for Boss DR670 Dr. Rhythm Drum Machine
Feature: This should sell with an AC adapter. Having said that, it's fairly feature laden.
Quality: It seems fairly well built. No problems so far, and I've had it for at least a couple years.
Value: It's a little pricey at $295, considering its age and other options now available. But if you need one, this is a good and versatile unit.
Desirability: It may not be too sexy.
Sound: If you hunt, you can find good sounds and modify them a bit so they don't sound totally canned. I wish there were better high hat options and more electronic drum sounds. Kick drums and snares sound fairly good.
Support: No need.
Overall: If you can't find a real drummer and need something just to carry the beat, this will do the job. Read the manual, be aware of features that help minimize that robo-drummer sound (if you don't want that sound), and use it thoughtfully. It can be great for the right types of songs and lousy for others. It's fairly versatile and even fun to play with. If you want to store whole songs on this unit, find a paper and write down your settings. Otherwise you'll forget which song and kit you stored where.
