Product Reviews for Fishman Aura Acoustic Imaging Blender for Acoustic
Feature: The only thing that I would improve on this model would be to add more leds for the tuner. Our banjo player thinks that reverb/delay section would be nice. I prefer to keep those units separate.
Quality: HOpefully, like the other fishman products that I've owned, it will last a long time. We're talking with Gibson about an endorsement deal. It would be great to get one from Fishman. I'd like for our banjo, dobro, mandolin and fiddle players to get one.
Value: I traded a RANE AP13 for mine even up. I'm thrilled!
Sound: I've tried several preamps (Barcus Berry, Rane AP13, Fishman Platinum, LR Baggs) and then tried them with mics (Shure, AKG, internal Crown mic). None of those worked as well as the Aura. The closest I came to the Aura was the AP13 with an AKGC1000S. The Aura gives you that sound without the feedback worries and without the extra setup hassles. I have quit looking for a better rig! THis provides me with variable setups with the 99 presets. I only use 3-4. One for use with an electric band (more piezo) and another with mostly emulated microphone (guitar and vocal performance). I use a couple of different in between setups for 3 to 6-piece bluegrass band gigs.
Ease of Use: It's very simple. About like a guitar amp. However the tones are very rich and full sounding.
Support: No experience with repairs or complaints with this product
