Product Reviews for Ibanez RGT42DXFM Electric Guitar with Flame Top
Feature: has everything. nothings missing. if anything, it has too much stuff... but it doesnt... its great. very feature-y
Quality: built very well. ive hit the tip of the headstock on various surfaces several times, though never on purpose, and all it has is the slightest scuff.
Value: kinda pricey for what it is, and i dont think id get another one for this price, should it ever be stolen or smashed or something, but its ok, cuz i had a relatively high price range.
Desirability: who wouldnt want this? rg style body is so slick and sharp-looking, almost like you could cut something in half with it. the finish is awesome, its more flamed than the pictures suggest, and its way darker. but when i got it, i shined it with rubbing alcohol, which looking back on may not have been very good for it, but it looks much more purple-y now. great looking guitar. i wouldve preferred a glossy finish to the flat though.
Sound: well, the pickups arent the best, but by far not the worst either. ive been wanting pickups with better pinch harmonics, probably dimarzio's or emg's later on.
Support: havent dealt
Overall: buy it, its like playing air. so smooth and fast, relatively light considering its solid mahogany, and sounds great, very versatile, i play punk/rock/metal and even a few bluesy things sometimes, and it can handle it all.
