Product Reviews for Marshall Electronics MXL V57M Studio Condenser Microphone Feature: The main (and most important) feature is that you get a nice sounding condensor mic for pratically nothing. Quality: Seems good. I've had no problems. Value: We're all lucky to live in a time when we can buy this kind of gear for this price. Sound: I am a steelpan player and bought this mic specifically to record my instrument. It really helped to put my steelpans in the front of the mix. I'm very happy with the result. I think this mic was made to record steelpans! (a difficult instrument to capture) However, it's very bright. I can't use it for vocals or even percussion. Too brittle.
