Product Reviews for Peavey Supreme XL Guitar Amplifier Head with Reverb
Feature: Yeah it includes a footswitch, but it's made of cheap plastic, and wrongfuly labeled. The damping and power switches are a PLUS, but the footswitch still sucks. I wish it had an Acutronics Reverb instead of the digital.
Quality: It's built like a rock! factory QC seems good for the last 20years... I bet this amp will last a few years before it goes out. I would gig without a backup (anyways i'm selling my backup!)
Value: it's just in the money, wouldn't pay more than 400 for it.
Desirability: the tribal faceplate is nice, but i never thought it would be a monster in real life size, it's overwhelmingly big, but it makes it look kind of METAL. I also needed a nice budget good reliable amp.
Sound: It's versatile, good clean tone and nice overdrive type lead chanel, the amp is very sensitive to dynamics, and i play with mucho bends and vibratos!, Yeah this amp can get you THERE! I will be using a lot the clean chanel it's ultra clean and airy at high volumes. I Use a Warlock guitar with DiMarzio X2N and Air Norton 2 PU's, and a BOSS BF1 and works just fine for me I play in a progressive rock jazz band.
Support: Never dealt with them. But i hear good things.
Overall: I expect to take a good 5 years with the amp, I might even replace it, I still hope to buy a MESA in a year or so... jjejeje
